Ok, I will say it… the economy. Over the last several months I have tried to refrain from admitting that the current state of the economy should affect the way I make decisions in both my personal and business lives. I have tried to dismiss the onslaught of negative news brought to us by the media on a daily basis. However, with first quarter numbers in, and general sentiment amongst people whom I respect, I do believe we are currently facing a challenging economic environment.
That being said, I am certain this can be a very good year for MB Jessee, as well as our clients. We are acknowledging the economic conditions and working to position ourselves as the leader in our industry.
I understand that now more than ever, we need to provide the best “value” to our clients. We must deliver the best quality and customer service at a fair price. We are making changes amongst our personnel, and our processes to enable us to provide the best value on every project. With many businesses in our industry very slow, we have been able to recently acquire several very talented craftsmen. We have made changes within our office to improve on our customer service. We are training every week on how to improve. Everyone in our company understands one thing…We must be the very best.
For all these reasons, and many more, this is an excellent time to have painting work done on your home. With the tightening of the real estate market it is more important than ever to keep your home protected and looking good. Many of us are holding off on moving to that next home. Fresh paint and new colors can definitely make our homes feel special again. This is an excellent time to be shopping for value. Remember, price and value are not the same. A quality job, great customer service, and a written warranty are what you should expect and deserve.
I look forward to this year at MB Jessee. I am excited at the opportunity to put together a team of the very best. Challenges help us to focus, and with focus we can all improve and exceed our goals.
Good luck to all of you in 2009. I look forward to seeing you soon.
Best regards,
Matt
