Are You Familiar with the Michelin Star System?
The Michelin Guide offers a maximum of three stars, sprinkled among only a handful of dining establishments around the world. Earning one star is the achievement of a lifetime.
Over the last century the Michelin Guide (which has an interesting history of its own) has been considered by many to be the ultimate resource for finding your next extraordinary dining experience. Their inspectors identify and visit select restaurants after weeding through food blogs, reviews, and other resources, and dine there in complete anonymity. If you impress them, you may earn a Michelin star.
Commis has received not just one, but two Michelin stars. We were recently given the incredible privilege of bringing our painting and refinishing services to the table during their recent aesthetic update.
What Did Our Painting and Refinishing Work Include?
Our standard procedures include meticulous prep and protection of surrounding areas, including covering furniture, floors, and unpainted surfaces. We also clean, vacuum, and dispose of any debris after our work is done, as well as label and leave leftover paint for future touch-ups.
Restoring the Furniture and Countertop
To bring fresh life to the tables, chairs, and countertop, we completely stripped the existing finish down to bare wood. We then applied Rubio Monocoat in Charcoal. As you can see in the photos, this gorgeous, almost smoky finish provides a sophisticated style, and we are confident that it will hold up well under the burden of wear and tear.
We also painted the wine storage shelf with two coats, creating an attractive and durable finish.
