Picking Commercial Paint Colors? Eliminate the Guesswork!
If you’re painting a bedroom, it’s okay to experiment with color. Try out a section, see how it fits, and if you don’t like it you’ve only lost an hour or so of your time.
But how about when you’re painting a high-rise in San Francisco? Suddenly your color choices take on extreme urgency, especially if you’re juggling other improvements, deadlines, permits, and the all-important budget.
Here at MB Jessee Painting, we have a couple key strategies in place to help you make the best decision, saving you time and money while ensuring that you’re thrilled with the finished product.
If you come across this article and you aren’t in the Bay Area, you may want to use these tips/ideas as a way to launch a valuable conversation with your own prospective painter.
How Do We Help You Pick the Perfect Paint Colors?
#1: Color Consultations
It’s more than just picking a color - you need to consider surrounding buildings, architectural style, your brand, the message you want to convey, and color psychology as a whole. Aesthetic is important, but color reaches way beyond that.
We can connect you with professional color consulting services, with trusted professionals who can help you navigate these waters and present perspectives and ideas you wouldn’t have otherwise considered.
#2: Digital Rendering
Are you a visual person? After our clients have engaged our services, we offer the option of a digital rendering service, placing color options “virtually” on your actual building. This way you can see what they would look like in place.
Here’s an example from a project we completed here in the Bay Area. We took it an extra step and had a little fun sharing options on social media, letting people weigh in on which palette they liked best.

#3: Brush-Outs
Once you have your choices narrowed down, we can also utilize brushouts. These are painted panels that we place on your building’s exterior. This way you can see the color in place (without fully committing to it), and can see how it looks from different angles, in varying light levels throughout the day, etc.
Color Selection Doesn’t Need To Be Difficult! Partner with a Painter Who Offers Solutions
