We Have a Winner! MOCHA Is Our 11th Project Color Painting for Charity Recipient

As you know if you follow our Facebook page or have joined our email list, our 11th Annual Project Color Painting for Charity recipient has been chosen.
In case you’re just coming across this article now and are a little light on the back story, be sure to check out this explanation of what Project Color is and why it means so much to us.
The short version is that we choose a nonprofit each year to receive up to $10,000 of free painting services; it’s our way of giving back and encouraging those who do so much and often receive little help and recognition. As a local Oakland painting company, we also truly believe it is our responsibility to build into and invest in our community.
Thank You for Your Votes!
We shared our final three recipients with you (the general public), and the votes came flooding in. It was a hugely successful process, and we couldn’t be more grateful for your involvement and interest. Posts on Facebook were shared, encouragement was sent, and your voices were all heard.
MOCHA was the clear winner, and we are thrilled to serve them in this way.
What Is MOCHA?
The MOCHA acronym stands for Museum of Children’s Arts, and the organization itself stands for kids and community. Specifically, they believe in the cathartic power of artistic expression, and that making opportunities for kids to experience art will help to heal and prevent social ills. This is a tangible way to bring kids and families together.
MOCHA has impacted over one million children since their launch 27 years ago, holding hands-on arts programs in local schools, libraries, and in their own studios. It is an incredible organization, and one that we extremely proud and excited to help.
What’s Next for This Oakland Painting Project?
We’re in the planning and scheduling stages now, as we want to optimize our impact for MOCHA just as powerfully as possible. Stay tuned for details! And, if you don’t follow us on Facebook, now would certainly be a good time to start.
There are exciting times ahead!
