HGTV and MB Jessee Painting: A Winning Combination!
One of my favorite guilty pleasures in life is to curl up on my sofa on a rainy weekend afternoon with a cup of tea and watch a bit of TV. And always guaranteed to bring my husband and even my little boy over to the sofa to cozy down and join me is an episode of Curb Appeal: The Block, the exterior home transformation show on HGTV. We’re all hooked on it! If you haven’t tuned in, the show features a home that is in desperate need of an exterior makeover. The homes they choose are the eyesores of their neighborhoods! The HGTV team swoops in like design angels and helps out the lucky homeowner with a fabulous exterior renovation plan. After wowing both the viewers at home and the home’s residents with their creative redesign concept, they swing into action. After a whirlwind few days, the home is revealed—and dramatically transformed. And, if all that isn’t enough to lure you in for an episode, HGTV also spruces up other homes in the neighborhood with a fresh coat of paint on some trim here, a few new planters out front there, or a refashioned patio area a few houses down the road. It is such fun to watch!
A few weeks ago, the HGTV producers of Curb Appeal: The Block were looking to team up with a quality painting contractor in the San Francisco Bay Area on some projects for the show. Their search quickly lead them to MB Jessee. After all, with our reputation for providing excellent customer service and superior craftsmanship combined with their amazing creativity and talent, MB Jessee and HGTV are a perfect match! After meeting with Matt, our president, on site at homes in Alameda, Contra Costa and San Francisco counties, HGTV was ready to put our MB Jessee painters to work. The first painting project for the show was a lovely Spanish style home in the Berkeley Hills and we’ve since moved on to a home in El Cerrito. A classic San Francisco row house in the Mission District is up next with several more painting & staining projects planned over the next few months.
