Many of our commercial painting projects here in the Bay Area involve maintenance painting: caring for and improving well-worn surfaces. Sometimes clients need to upgrade to specialized products too, like making a change to elastomeric exterior paint, or using specific coatings that meet equally specific performance requirements.
Other times, however, our clients are just ready for a new look.
In this case, a busy hotel in San Bruno was going through a full rebrand. We were given the opportunity to help with the exterior repaint, bringing the new brand and color palette to life.
Color consultations for a commercial repaint
To maximize this major opportunity, we brought in a professional color consultant that we often partner with. There’s just no substitute for an expert opinion, especially when it comes to repainting a large building that has different surfaces, textures, and material types to consider. The results are pretty incredible, switching from a plain color scheme to a bolder, more modern look.
Project containment is key!
Surface preparation is a big deal, but so is overall job site preparation, including containment. This hotel is too busy to simply shut down for a new paint job, so our crews progressed as unobtrusively as possible, carefully containing our work. This was especially important with so many cars parked right nearby - we had to eliminate any risk of overspray.
