MB Jessee’s Project Color: Seven Years!
MB Jessee is excited and very proud to announce that we recently wrapped up our seventh annual Painting for Charity giveaway, Project Color 2012! After selecting Primera Iglesia Presbiteriana Hispana as the winner, we decided on March 31st as our painting date. We were very pleased to have the color assistance of Toni Berry, a very talented interior designer, again this year. After working closely with the Pastor and his staff, Toni put together a soothing and uplifting palette of cool blues for the sanctuary of the church. Longtime partners in our charity efforts, Benjamin Moore and Mark’s Paint of Oakland generously donated the painting products we used to transform the church.
March 31st was a rainy, cold Saturday. Still though, when MB Jessee staff arrived at the church early that morning, many of the parishioners stood outside with umbrellas awaiting our arrival, securing parking for our vans, and helping us tote our many tools into the church. Still others showed up dressed and ready to paint. It was wonderful to help them bring a new look and feel to their church.
And what a transformation it was! The sanctuary had not been painted in some years and felt a bit dark, even with the curtains open. After the daylong efforts of the MB Jessee staff, the interior of the church radiated a lightness and a calm and peaceful feeling.
Thank you to Toni Berry & Benjamin Moore/Mark’s Paint for helping us make this terrific event happen!
