Painting for Charity: Project Color 2018 Mission Accomplished!
As a local painter in the Bay Area, MB Jessee is honored to be a part of this wonderful community. There are so many positive, service-oriented people who give of themselves to help others, which is why we have our Project Color program: to give back to the people and organizations who give so much to others!
We consider it a privilege to be able to support these wonderful groups by providing up to $10,000 worth of painting supplies and labor. Every day at work, we see the way fresh paint can bring people joy and new energy, making them feel better about their lives and their homes. With our Project Color, we get to provide this for some truly remarkable charities.
Our Project Color recipient for 2018 is the Oakland Elizabeth House, an amazing organization that provides support for women and children who are affected by homelessness, violence, or addiction. They provide a safe cooperative living environment, counseling, education, job search assistance, tutoring, and other training in practical skills, with the goal of helping the clients to become independent and productive.
It was our pleasure to serve the Elizabeth House in 2015, when we did interior painting for them. This year, we focused on the exterior painting, rejuvenating its appearance for years to come!
The Painting Process
We began the day with a (maybe not so healthy) breakfast, and a planning powwow:
Then we started the process by protecting the non-painted surfaces and getting all our equipment in place.
Once the painting began, it was smooth sailing!
We sprayed, brushed, and rolled our way over every surface, top to bottom!
Lunch was a delicious way to take a break.
And by the end of the day, the results were evident!
