Proud To Serve At the Corporate Volunteer Work Day for George Mark Children’s House
The folks at George Mark Children’s House in San Leandro are the best of the best. Their entire mission is to provide exceptional palliative pediatric care, offering critical support for children (and their families) facing chronic or terminal illnesses. They were the first of their kind in the United States, and are passionate about seeing more facilities carry on a similar mission across the country.
When we get a chance to help these wonderful folks, we take it.
While we’ve had numerous opportunities to get involved and give back over the years, the flagship event is called the Corporate Volunteer Work Day. Several other companies get involved as well, sending teams to join forces and help with routine facility maintenance items.
Vincent, our Operations Manager, plays an integral role. He knows how to manage and coordinate projects like nobody else, and showed up early with John to make sure the stage was set for the painting projects we needed to accomplish. Rollers, trays, brushes, paint… All set out and ready to go.
Getting the project rolling at George Mark Children’s House
Here are our favorite pictures from the big day, plus a quote from Ricky, Events Coordinator, and Ken, Direct of Advancement.
"...the grounds at George Mark are brighter than usual.
Our corporate partners did a good job with all their painting tasks thanks to Vincent and John who were there to prep and help our volunteers all throughout the activities.
Thank you for providing us with much needed supplies and whatnot. MB Jessee’s assistance that day was so invaluable for this project!"
"George Mark’s grounds look spectacular! A huge thank you to everyone for helping to make the return of our Corporate Volunteer Work Day such a wonderful success, and for filling our cup with your collective energy and enthusiastic support of our mission.
A special shout out also to our friends at MB Jessee Painting, Serpico Landscaping, Starbucks, Alameda County Fire Department, and San Leandro Police Department for your incredible support year in and year out."
